Located at the core of Wembley Central, Wembley Link Phase 1 has revitalized an area that was once inaccessible to the community, thanks to a collaboration between the architects Maccreanor Lavington and Bridges Fund Management, a social impact investment fund manager. The project, completed in April 2020 and operated by UNCLE, features 239 rental apartments spread across two buildings, standing 26 and 21 storeys high, respectively. A highlight of this development is the emphasis on communal spaces, with the ground floor area dedicated to public, community, and retail uses, alongside a newly unveiled public square and community centre. Notably, 68 of these apartments are offered at a reduced market rent, enhancing accessibility and affordability.

The initiative has not just transformed the site physically but has also enriched it as a valuable community resource, aligning with the project's social impact goals. The comprehensive design also incorporated feedback from the community, leading to the reintroduction of ground-floor spaces to the public realm.

Building on the successful foundation laid by Phase 1, Wembley Link Phase 2 introduces an addition of 256 build-to-rent homes, with 19.5% classed as affordable housing. This subsequent phase, under the creative vision of Glenn Howells Architects and backed by Bridges Fund Management, contributes significantly to the Wembley Housing Zone, offering a harmonious blend of urban living and community-centric spaces. Operated also by UNCLE, this phase further reinforces the development's role as a pivotal linkage in Wembley, harmonizing new developments in Wembley town centre and Wembley Park. A key feature of this phase, driven by community consultation, is the creation of expansive new gardens, enriching the public realm introduced in Phase 1.

The Wembley Link project underlines a commitment to not only enhance the physical landscape of Wembley but also foster a sense of community through considered architectural and social planning.
